Why fit, intended use and instructor review matter more than appearance or price.

Choosing your first harness

A harness is not simply a seat; it is part of the flying system and must match the pilot's level, intended use and other equipment.

Assess fit in person

The label size is not enough. Seating position, adjustment access and body fit should be assessed in an appropriate environment.

Define your actual use

A beginner student's needs differ from those of an XC pilot. Weight, volume, protection and seating position need to be considered together.

Get specialist input before buying

Ask an instructor or qualified person to check compatibility with the wing, reserve and weight range.

Sources and specialist review

Final sources and reviewer identity will be completed after academy-manager approval.
